A mistaken identity leads to a death, two people in love try to overcome religious barriers, a 16-year-old illegal immigrant tries to raise money for his ill mother, innocents get pulled into the drug trade and more happens in this film that intertwines stories between Arabs, Palestinians, Jews and Christians trying to live together in the Ajami neighbourhood of Jaffa. Directed by Palestinian Scandar Copti and Israeli Yaron Shani, the film won a special distinction award at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival.

Three criminals head to small-town Arkansas after a messy drug rip-off in LA. The police are on their tail and enlist eager local Chief of Police Dale “Hurricane” Dixon to help with the investigation. Dixon is more than willing to help his LA counterparts, but as information comes out possibly connecting him to one of the criminals, his dedication is tested as he tries to prevent past secrets from surfacing.  Beautifully-directed by Carl Franklin, the film stars Bill Paxton, Michael Beach, Cynda Williams and Billy Bob Thornton, who also co-wrote the script.
