HELP WITH THE "NOW PLAYING"
SECTION
The SNAM "Now Playing" section offers a five-week
window on the broadcast special. The current week, two weeks
past and two weeks forward are offered for viewers convenience.
Legal, business and technical reasons preclude us from publishing
the complete season-length SNAM schedule on this website. In
addition to providing a broadcast schedule, the "Now Playing"
section provides additional contextual information about the
movies that are airing on SNAM. Viewers seeking information
about films that aired outside the five-week window currently
available on the website are encouraged to use the Search page
in the "Now Playing" section (see below).
The SNAM Search Database is NOT a comprehensive movie
reference tool. The Internet Movie
Database and services like it already exist on the Internet
and provide excellent resources for searches into specific movie-related
information.
The SNAM database is a catalog of all the movies that air on
the show from the 2001/02 season. Searching the SNAM database
will retrieve files associated with the various sub-sections
of the "Now Playing" section, including: the descriptions of
each week's First, Second and Late movies, notes about The Interviews
that air between the movies, and another the contextual Themes
that link the movies each week.
SNAM is offering a searchable catalog of each week's information
to enhance the usefulness of the website's additional contextual
commentary for the movies that are broadcast each week.
To search for information: choose the appropriate category from
the pull-down menu and enter a word, name or title into the
text-box. The search engine will retrieve files from the database
that match your specified criteria.
HELP WITH "THE LOUNGE" SECTION
The Lounge puts viewers in touch with SNAM's Producer, offering
her additional views on the programme, the movies that air on
SNAM and movies in general.
Most areas in this section are designed to allow the Producer
one-way communication to the audience.
On-going viewer feedback can be directed through the live Chat
service on a monthly basis. A form is available for submitting
movie requests to the Producer. The content in this section
of the website is not archived in the database; viewers should
print out any information they wish to retrieve beyond the current
week (e.g. any lists of recommended movies they want to take
to the video store).
HELP WITH TECHNICAL PROBLEMS
The SNAM website requires a version 4.x or higher browser and
the Flash 4.x or higher plug-in.
Users with browser software installed in the past two years
should have everything required to access the content on this
site.
